The Italian National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) together with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Republic of Lebanon will implement the Twinning project “Supporting Civil Aviation Authorities in Lebanon in the fields of Safety and Security”.
Eu provided a 1,2 million euro grant in order to support civil aviation authorities in Lebanon in the fields of safety and security.
Activities started on September 2019 and will have a duration of 24 months.
The purpose is to enhance the safety and security of civil aviation in Lebanon by improving the national legal framework, organizational structure and technical capacity of the Lebanese stakeholders in accordance with the Standards and Recommended Practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization, the EU legislation and other best practices.
The results to be achieved aim at legal, institutional and administrative reinforcement of the civil aviation sector and to strengthening the administrative and technical capacity of Lebanese DGCA.
ENAC experts will transfer their know how through assistance in review and development of regulations, procedures, plans, documents and organisation. Details of the proposed services and the relevant methodology will be designed together (ENAC and DGCA) to be consistent and adequate with regard to the objectives of the project fiche and to the real needs of DGCA.
